Yo – you got me.

I did not think anyone would like on this link.  To me it looked like a suggestion, you know – “Read More!”  Education is the most powerful form of leverage – if you can keep the knowledge you gain organized and usable.

And I did not want to invest the 10 minutes it would take to turn off the link – so I created a destination for it.

But YOU clicked…

Sooo – here is a bonus lesson.

You most likely know about 80/20, right?  Let’s turn up the focus on it and give you an insight that you can use tomorrow.

If you take 80% of 80%, you get 64%.

And on the other side take 20% of 20%, you get 4%.

You can apply 64/4 just like 80/20.  4% of your customers likely give you 64% of your profits (or your pains in the butt).  Identify your top 4% – give them extra attention, and then clone some more of them with your marketing.

Identify your bottom 4% (ie the ones who waste 64% of your time) – and either retrain them, sell them or sack them.  Just raising their prices can sometimes do the trick…

And if you want pin point accuracy, AND you have enough people in your pool – you and to to 51/1.  (Just 80/20 your 64/4).  If there are dozens of action items for you to get done – 1% of that list will be the action that can generate over half the value of all the things on your list.

So – there were several ways to apply this thinking above.  The main point is that not all actions, assets or processes have the SAME WEIGHTING!  Don’t give the same attention to something that can make you $5 as something that can make you $5M.   You can stuff around with getting the icon on your business card perfect – or in the same time, you can sit and map out your sales process, add a step or two to increase the conversion – and get your team using it today.

Everything is NOT the same weighting.  Most is fluff – blow it off and catch the big fish.

Cheers
